De Stichting Schaaktopteam Groningen (SSttG) is opgericht in de zomer van 2008 om in opdracht van Schaakclub Groningen de organisatie van het 1e team op zich te nemen. Vanaf mei 2012 is er een samenwerkingsverband tussen Groningen en Unitas en ging het dus om het gezamenlijke 1e team van beide verenigingen die in 2015 fuseerden tot Schaakvereniging Groninger Combinatie. Het bestuur van de SSttG beslist autonoom, maar natuurlijk in overleg met het bestuur van de vereniging en de spelers.
De overeenkomst tussen de stichting en de vereniging wordt tot wederopzegging jaarlijks automatisch verlengd. Wij zijn een stichting zonder winstoogmerk. Alle inkomsten worden ingezet om onze doelstellingen (zie onder) te realiseren.
The Stichting Schaaktopteam Groningen (SSttG) was set up in the summer of 2008 to organise the 1st team on behalf of Chess Club Groningen. From May 2012, there has been a partnership between Groningen and Unitas and so it was about the joint 1st team of both clubs, which merged in 2015 to become Chess Association Groninger Combinatie. The board of the SSttG decides autonomously, but of course in consultation with the board of the association and the players.
The agreement between the foundation and the association is automatically renewed annually until further notice. We are a non-profit foundation. All income is used to achieve our objectives (see below).

Doelstelling Stichting Schaaktopteam Groningen
Onze stichting heeft de volgende doelstellingen:

De organisatie en het beheer van een schaaktopteam in de stad Groningen, dat permanent een belangrijke rol kan spelen in de meesterklasse van de landelijke competitie.

Het team te formeren rond de sterkste spelers uit Noord Nederland en Groningen in het bijzonder, om zodoende een duidelijke band met Noord Nederland te houden

Jeugd
Een rol te spelen bij de ontwikkeling van spelers tussen jeugd en top. Topspelers komen niet uit de lucht vallen. Training en opleiding zijn daarom belangrijk om ons doel te realiseren.
Playing a role in player development between youth and top. Top players do not appear out of thin air. Training and education are therefore important to realise our goal.
Samen
Samen te werken met andere organisaties die vergelijkbare doelstellingen nastreven en schaken in het algemeen willen stimuleren.
Collaborate with other organisations pursuing similar objectives and promoting chess in general.
Onze middelen
De inkomsten van de SSttG bestaan uit sponsorbijdragen en donaties en worden uitsluitend ingezet voor activiteiten die voortkomen uit de doelstellingen, of activiteiten die de doelstellingen ondersteunen.
The SSttG’s income consists of sponsorship contributions and donations and is used exclusively for activities arising from the objectives, or activities that support the objectives.
